We had the most wonderful holiday last week. It was the best croft we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped and comfortable. We took some wonderful photos of the croft and surrounding area to remind us of our wonderful time. I’ll remember standing on the shore at Badnaban watching the seals as the sun went down. So relaxing.
We had a lovely holiday in your cottage near Lochinver. I do love the big kitchen which is great, as I do enjoy cooking. I normally had an audience of sheep, lambs and a very tame herring gull. We saw lots of deer near the house and watched 6 playing around. It was amazing. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, my husband thought he was in heaven
We went every year to Elig a Bhrodan in the 1980s with our 4 children and have all the photographs of the croft as it was then. My youngest son wrote a poem there which won a national prize called “Muckle Water Drooned the Miller.” There was a mug in the bathroom with “Muckle Water” written on it. This was his inspiration. He was 11 at the time, The boys loved fishing at Lochinver and Inverkirkaig and we all climbed Stac Pollaidh. I will definitely come back, so hope for a vacancy in May 2008. Many happy memories.
We had the most awesome holiday a few weeks ago in Elig a Brhodan. I totally loved the cute little bedrooms and I loved exploring the area. I’m definately going to come back again as I never really managed to finish having a proper look around!!!
We stayed here last year for our honeymoon in April 2007. We had a great time, fantastic weather, stunning scenery and a lovely cosy cottage to come back to each evening. Can’t wait to go back to this part of the world, its a wonderful place.
Thank you!
We spent a wonderful week (only last week) at the crofthouse. I’ve been going there for the last 50 years but in the last 18 years this was only my 3rd visit.
The crofthouse is now superbly appointed and very comfortable and is set in magnificent countryside.
Although the weather was mixed that didn’t matter.
We enjoyed some wonderful walks roundabout, including to Achmelvich beach from Lochinver, down to Inverkirkaig and up to the top of Stac Polaidh. I didn’t manage Suilven but my daughter and her boyfriend did.
Saw plenty of wildlife, including deer and on the walk to Achmelvich lots of seals.
I can recommend a fish supper from the Chip Shop at Achmelvich campsite (open most nights in the summer). We enjoyed ours on the beach as the sun was going down.
We will be back.
